Principal's Message

Welcome to Gates Elementary School!

It is an honor to serve as the principal of a school with such a strong reputation for academic excellence, dedicated staff, and a supportive, engaged community. At Gates, we believe every child can learn, achieve and grow in in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment—and I am committed to building upon that foundation.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of three: my son Caden, who just graduated from West Park High School, and my twin daughters, Madelyn and Charlotte, who are 9 and excited to be joining me at Gates this year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, cooking, doing puzzles, and spending time with my loved ones.

As principal, I care about strengthening instructional practices, promoting staff collaboration, and using data to inform decisions that drive student achievement. I believe that every child can excel when they are known, supported, and challenged appropriately, and I am dedicated to making sure that each Explorer has the tools they need to thrive.

This year, we will continue to focus on literacy, inclusive teaching, and strengthening home-school connection. Families are an important part of student success, and I look forward to building meaningful partnerships with you throughout the year.
